Rainy day

Today in typically British fashion, and as Sod’s law would have it, has been raining and grey all day.

Naturally it waited till we were already in town to chuck it down and I had no coat, the good news is it stopped me venturing down the high street to Topshop.

Primark on the other hand was in a indoor shopping mall, they also had some beautiful winter shizzle in so I picked up a few bits. All’s well that ends well.

I got home and immediately took off my boots so i photographed them separately, I also wore my Michael Kors watch.

My cami and jeans are Topshop, my jacket is H&M and my boots are River island.

Happy Saturday xx

Basics : casual edition

So today I thought I’d do a basics post.

What I basically wear, and style up with other pieces or eachother on a day to day basis, with a few key pieces you should (ahem) never have a I have nothing to wear moment again.

*disclaimer disappearance of screaming at wardrobe whilst crying not guaranteed*

(Check out my seaside background, cheesy right 😉)

Lets start from the top shall we? The list, here goes….

-Plain white tee

An obvious one I’m sure, can be dressed up or down, goes perfect with a skinny jean and biker jacket, find your perfect cut and you’ll never look back.

– Stripy tee shirt

A classic in the wardrobes of many for good reason, fancier than a plain white tee, yet timeless enough to see you from year to year season to season.

-Plain cami

Like the plain white tee, yet lighter weight and easier to dress up Topshops camis are on point 👌

-plain skirt in a style that flatters you and you feel comftable in.

Perfect with bare legs in summer and tights in the colder months, team it with a pretty top for night or a tee and cosy knit for day, I love a skater, but you also can’t go wrong with a tube skirt too, mini or midi even maxi if that’s your thing.

-Trainers or flat shoes

Obviously! I love my Converse, but Vans, Toms or a ballet flat work beautifully too.

-smart/casual jacket

This will be a key part in dressing up your casual attire, search, buy, fall in love and wear it to death.

-A good pair of jeans

Skinny always has, and I suspect always will be my go to style, I’m also a lover if Topshop jeans, particularly the Joni’s and Leigh’s but jeans are a very individual thing, don’t give up, when you find your perfect pait you’ll be glad you did.

-cardigan/shawl/poncho/cover up

Keep cosy in style.

-an amazing watch you’re in love with

You’ll wear it forever I promise, put that baby on your Xmas or birthday list if you have too.

-A biker jacket and pretty scarf

I love my biker jacket an insane amount, and a pretty scarf just makes it even more perfect.

– A timeless and classic handbag

This is where you should spend whatever you can afford, make sure it’s classic and that it won’t date, I love my Michael Kors and Imo it was worth every penny, I carry it everywhere and it’s CPW has pretty much paid for itself.

– A lipstick you feel fabulous in

Just that and some mascara and you’ll instantly feel more groomed and ready to face the day.

And last but not least…

Some black ankle boots..

A classic, a staple, a must have. Again Topshop lead the way with this for me.

Hope this is helpful, happy Wednesday xx

Outfit and Mini haul

Today we had to dress up at work, I went as catwoman but didn’t get any proper pictures of my outfit, so I’ve posted what I wore after work instead.

My Mac is from Zara, my vest Topshop, my trousers are River Island Disco Pants and my biker boots are Asos.

Me and my friend Kelly finished at the same time today so we went into town together as she had an event she needed help getting an outfit for, I wanted to get a cheer up pressie for my friend who’s in hospital and I had my eye on a certain pair of black ankle boots from Primark (the obsession continues).

Whilst there we hit Topshop (obviously) and I found this lovely little jacket in the sale and some super pretty hair accessories,  and then in Primark the boots I was after plus some frilly socks and cotton wool pads. So all in all a pretty successful trip.

It’s the weeeekennndddd, and I have Sunday off, wahoo.

                                                                  Happy Friday, TGIF. Xxxx
